We get a lot of people asking us what the difference between Hill Gliding and Mountain Boarding! Hill Gliding is similar but vastly different as well. Mountain boarding uses a board similar to a traditional skateboard but with large pneumatic wheels and are used to traverse off road dirt paths. Where as Hill Gliders are intended for large grassy hills not limited by existing paths.
Mountain boards turn by leaning from side to side, where as Hill Gliders have a large central wheel that allows users to carve by leaning left to right, but also have the ability to lift the back wheel and momentary ride just on the central wheel which allows the rider to turn on a dime by rotating their hips.
Hill Gliders come equiped with brakes that allow the rider to reduce speeds as well assists when riding on larger hills when tacking.
